What to pack for a long shift

A long shift goes better with a plan. A few things in your pockets and bag make the day smoother.

Here is a short list.

In your pockets

Pens, a small notebook, a hair tie and a snack. The Men's V-Neck Scrub Top has pockets for the essentials.

Keep the weight balanced left and right.

In your bag

A spare top, a jacket and your water bottle. A Jogger Scrub Pants in your bag is handy for spills.

Add a pair of easy shoes.

Layers

The Men's Zip Front Scrub Jacket slips on when the room cools.

Wash cool and tumble dry low.

Plan the hours

Make a short list on your phone and tick it off before you leave: pens, water bottle, snack, spare top, hair ties and a jacket. Put the things you use most in the pockets and the rest in your bag. At the end of the shift, empty everything and lay out the next day's set so the morning goes smoothly. A bit of planning makes a long day feel shorter. Keep a small bag packed so it is ready by the door, and top it up after every shift, so you never start the day short of anything.
